Kelly PRIDE nominee Core Value Demonstrated
Action representing a Core Value
Ms. Viviana Fernandez (Counselor) Determination: The ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult
Ms. V. Fernandez has shown great determination to become a great Counselor for her students and assuming a leadership role since joining the Counseling Dept. this year.
Leo Gonzalez  Determination: The ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult.
Thank you for being such a great leader and supporting our students and staff.
Stan Mietus, Efrain Gonzalez, and Leo Gonzalez  Determination: The ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult.
The team showed resilience on Friday, Sept. 20 assisting a shooting victim at the park. All of them took matters into their own hands and assisted the victim the best they could until the medical team showed up. It is my opinion that their determination is the reason why the victim is still alive.
Antony Gonzalez  Empathy: The action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another. Antony is a good friend. He always knows how to listen to others and understand them. I nominate him because for me he is a sincere friendship and because he is the most charismatic person I know. Thank you for your good attitude and the encouragement you give to all. -Y
Kelly Students at picket line and rallies  Determination: The ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult.
Our Kelly students who demonstrated the love and support for the teachers during the strike. Their determination throughout the strike has made me see how they have embraced every single teacher and staff as their family. They did not have to be there early in the morning or endure the cold but they were determined to be with us every single step of the way. I am and will always be proud of our Kelly students! Thanks a million!!!
Mrs. Kelsey Saldaña  Persistence: When a person perseveres in a task despite obstacles or frustrations.
Mrs. Ms. Saldaña has demonstrated persistence, because even though she is a new staff member, she advocates for students and the counseling department. She is solution-focused and always willing to lend a hand! Thank you for your persistence Mrs. Saldaña.
Hillary Vazquez Empathy: The action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another.
Being a super supportive colleague, inspiring students and staff to be honest, kind, and motivated.

He’s a good person to everybody
Blanca Ocotoxtle  Empathy: The action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another.
Many people go to her for personal advice, including me. She always displays empathy by giving us her perspective in our situations and her best advice. This is an important value because she is a person people look to for help in any situation.
Mr. Toledo  Persistence: When a person perseveres in a task despite obstacles or frustrations.
Mr. Toledo goes above and beyond his job title. When one of the printers in the teacher's lounge was wasting paper and ink and had been doing so for over four days, Mr. Toledo spent over four hours making sure to fix it. His persistence in finding a solution is much appreciated by everyone.
Alexa Rocha  Determination: The ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult.
She always completes her homework on time and participates in class.
Ms. Kelsey Saldana  Determination: The ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult.
Ms. Saldana went far above and beyond to support several of her students who needed her help this week.
Adriak Zaragoza  Persistence: When a person perseveres in a task despite obstacles or frustrations.
